Dr Sinha is Hon Professor Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad India and Associate Professor at Macquarie University Sydney, Australia. Director of Fellowship program for Minimal Access & Robotic Surgery at Apollo Hospitals. She is the Clinical Lead Specialist in Gynecology for Macquarie MD program. She is a visiting professor at AIIMS, Rishikesh. As the lead faculty of the Fellowship program, she believes in constantly learning while mentoring young surgeons. Published over 40 papers and chapters in Books and National & International Journals. The distinction of being invited as a lecturer to almost every part of India as well as in almost all continents of the world. Dr. Rooma Sinha has a flair for gynecological surgeries and has a reputation for performing complex surgeries both amongst her patients and colleagues alike. She has over 26 years of experience in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery and has pioneered robotic surgery in India. She is currently the most experienced robotic surgeon for gynaecological conditions in the country.

She is an honorary professor at Apollo Hospitals. As the lead faculty of Fellowship programs in Minimal Access & Robotic Surgery at Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad, she believes in constantly learning while mentoring young surgeons. As an associate professor at Macquarie University in Sydney, she is the clinical lead specialist in gynecology for the Macquarie MD program. She is also a visiting professor at AIIMS, Rishikesh.

Dr. Sinha has published over 40 papers and chapters in books and national and international journals. She has had the distinction of being invited as a lecturer to almost every part of India as well as most continents in the world. 

She did her MBBS and MD at IMS, BHU and graduated with seven distinctions and gold medals. FIGO Fellowship to Univ of Rochester, USA and FOGSI Fellowship at Mercy Hospital, Melbourne, Australia gave her international perspectives.

Dr. Sinha is actively involved in public awareness programs and is experienced in treating women with endometriosis and fibroids that cause chronic pain and infertility in women. 

What makes Dr. Sinha go on? The smiles from the women that she treats are a gift  to her. Her personal mantra is to remain patient, honest and empathetic at all times. She believes that her ability to inspire confidence in women during their difficult times leads to a trusting relationship with her patients.

Organisational Skills

  1. As a Vice Captain of School, she was actively involved in organizing academic & cultural events for students at St Xavier’s School, Bokaro Steel City. Her active and sincere involvement won her the Best Influence award, which was awarded to a student that made a difference and inspired other students to do their best. She was also the Vice captain of School which was a social initiative to rum a school in hindi medium for economically weaker section of the city. She organized classes for them and also enthusiastically taught them as well.
